Speaking of Quality: A Conversation About Occupational Therapy’s Unique Value
The expression “demonstrating occupational therapy’s distinct value” is now being widely used in discussions across the profession. What is “distinct value”, and how does it relate to quality? In this presentation, Dr. Christiansen will explore these concepts and discuss an approach to understanding quality from the perspective of clients receiving services from occupational therapy practitioners. He will assert that current perspectives may be inadequate to fully portray the unique value of the field to health care.
